My client, a high profile public sector organisation with a spend level of c£800m p/a, are currently recruiting for a Head of Procurement / Commercial level role, with responsibility for the corporate category area. Working within a department that is driving a progressive social value and sustainability agenda, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team / delivery of innovative category strategies and contract management across spend areas such as Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), HR, Finance, Marketing and Occupational Health.
Leading a team of 7, my client is looking for candidates who will bring a coaching / mentoring leadership approach, in what is a L&D focussed environment.
The successful candidate will ideally bring a blend of the following: -
Background of developing innovative category strategies and/or contract management / supplier relationship management (SRM) protocols that deliver high quality commercial outcomes, value for money and mitigate risk
Experience in delivering high value complex strategic commercial services negotiations in fast paced and dynamic environment
Inclusive Leadership / Management experience, ideally gained from working within a CPD / L&D culture.
Excellent senior stakeholder relationship skills.
Public Sector / OJEU / PCR2015 procurement experience is a desirable but not essential
