​Our client, a prominent property maintenance group, is seeking a highly skilled Subcontractor Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement of specialist services across the organisation. This pivotal role focuses on driving operational excellence, ensuring competitive pricing, and maintaining strong, compliant supplier relationships.

Position Overview

The Subcontractor Procurement Manager will play a crucial role in optimising subcontractor spend, ensuring compliance with ESG standards, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive efficiencies. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation's procurement strategies and contribute to its overall success.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards

  • Monitor subcontractor compliance and develop consistent policies and procedures

  • Oversee subcontractor procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality services

  • Develop a categorisation framework for subcontractors to optimise and monitor spending

  • Benchmark rates against market standards to secure preferential pricing

  • Collaborate with operational teams on subcontractor selection for new contracts

  • Develop and implement tools to track subcontractor performance and adherence to KPIs

  • Analyse subcontractor costs to identify savings opportunities and develop performance metrics

  • Support supply chain diversification through initiatives like "Meet the Buyer" events

  • Collaborate with finance to forecast and manage subcontractor spend effectively

Requirements

  • Proven track record in subcontractor procurement and relationship management

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and familiarity with ESG standards

  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities

  • Proficiency in procurement systems and data analytics

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Ability to analyse complex data sets and generate actionable insights

  • Experience driving cost synergies, particularly in M&A integrations

  • Background in the property maintenance or related industry preferred

  • Demonstrates adaptability in a dynamic, high-growth environment

  • Willingness to travel across the UK to engage with suppliers and support operations

  • Valid UK driving license
