London based client offering hybrid working.
My client, a high profile public sector organisation with a spend level of c£800m p/a, are currently recruiting for an ICT Commercial Manager. Working within a department that is driving a progressive social value and sustainability agenda, the successful candidate will be responsible for shaping innovative category strategies as well as the hands-on procuring of £10m+ contracts. This role also has two direct reports and my client is looking for candidates who will bring a coaching / mentoring leadership approach, in what is a L&D focussed environment.
The successful candidate will ideally bring a blend of the following: -
Background of developing innovative category strategies that deliver high quality commercial outcomes and value for money
Experience of procuring large complex digital, data and technology related services / goods in fast paced / dynamic environment
Experience of negotiation with large ICT / digital / data / technology providers, including consultancies
Excellent senior stakeholder relationship skills.
Public Sector / OJEU / PCR2015 procurement experience is a desirable but not essential
