​The Demand Planning Manager joins a growing pharmaceutical business to provide long-term absence cover and will be responsible for leading the European Demand Planning Function encompassing people, processes, and systems.

This role is ideally suited to expert Demand Planners with a proven track record of team management and expertise in managing multi-country forecasts that are available immediately or at short notice.

Key Accountabilities

  • Overall responsibility for the European Demand Planning process and the monthly demand forecast

  • Drive forecast accuracy improvement.

  • Generate monthly Demand KPIs, report on forecast accuracy, inventory levels and delivery performance and drive continuous improvements.

  • Act as the Master data process owner and maintain governance.

  • Super user for product data, demand and replenishment planning.

  • Plan the supply of products to meet agreed customer service levels and inventory targets whilst minimising obsolescence and managing changes to finished products.

  • Coordinate logistics movements throughout Europe.

  • Liaise with logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery.

 

Person Specification

  • Proven Demand Planning career success gained in a complex European Supply Chain

  • Demonstrable people management experience

  • Pharmaceutical or medical devices sector experience is advantageous

  • Knowledge of SAP and/or Oracle is beneficial

  • Ideally, educated to degree level

  • Industry-specific qualifications such as BPICS, APICS, and CIPS are beneficial

  • Overseas applicants will not be considered

  • Eligible to work and remain in the UK until 2025

  • Willing to work onsite on a weekly basis
