Langley is proud to be working with one of the UK’s leading charities to recruit this key role within its high performing procurement team.The position benefits from both fully remote and hybrid working options and is open to applicants from all areas of the UK, however it should be noted that there is a light travel requirement, and this will include trips to London and other offices throughout the country.
The position will see you working within a small but critical procurement function, providing you with an opportunity to make a considerable difference to the achievements of the department, and in turn contribute to the positive social impact the charity’s work is having on communities throughout the UK.
You will be responsible for providing pre-and post-contract commercial procurement services across a number of key areas including corporate services, property & facilities, print, merchandising & consumables, recruitment, legal services, travel, and some more charity specific categories such as supporter acquisition and lottery. In doing so, you will ensure that the procurement objectives of the department are achieved consistently and in support of the strategic plan and vision. You will also be tasked with developing and managing a number of key supplier relationships to ensure value for money and provide technical expertise in executing end-to-end procurement processes
Your profile and background
You'll have experience of the full end-end-end tendering process and you'll be able to provide examples where you have achieved significant savings across specific category areas of spend.
You'll have a solid understanding of indirect procurement, in key areas such as corporate services, and you'll be comfortable liaising with a broad range of suppliers and negotiating high profile contracts.
You'll be a personable and self-motivated individual with strong verbal and written communication skills, who can build good relationships internally with your stakeholders.
You will ideally be on your CIPS journey already and be looking to achieve full MCIPS accreditation. This is not by any means an essential requirement, however CIPS sponsorship is available as part of the package for those who wish to start or continue their training.
