Client: Global Managed Services Company
Role: Senior Procurement Sector Role (EMEA)
Package: £90,000-£100,000 plus excellent benefits
Outline: Retained by our client, a leading building managed services company, this was a key role providing critical procurement support for a number of newly won large building projects with an important, new financial services client ( offices in Poland, Germany and Hungary and other EMEA locations). The role required candidates with geographical & cross-cultural experience with developed influencing skills to manage the existing internal and new external stakeholders at a crucial time of growth for our client and the on-boarding of their new, large financial services client.
How we handled the search:After an initial face-to-face detailed briefing session with the client, we began the search to create the long-list. Face-to-face competency based interviews were completed (using the Langley 360™ Assessment Tool) and a final four candidates were shortlisted. Detailed written profiles were submitted to the client including answers to questions that had been devised by our client incorporating Langley’s guidance. Our client was pleased with the shortlist agreeing to meet all four candidates, carrying out further interviews and psychometric/ personality profiling. They selected a preferred candidate (and the other three candidates were flagged as good reserves) who had experience with a number of their competitors, multiple languages and experience of project management and set up in a greenfield environment.
What difference did our candidates make? Subsequent feedback from the client confirmed that the successful candidate is excellent in the role and has received recognition through promotion internally to Director level. The business has now won further business with their client in EMEA.
