Assistant Category Manager - up to £42k - London

Langley Search & Interim are looking for an Assistant Category Manager to join the team at a leading University in London.

Reporting into the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for providing assistance to the two specialist category managers covering Estates and IT, as well as leading on low value/low risk procurement projects on behalf of the university, its entities and other organisations for which the university provides a procurement service.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrable experience of procurement including assisting on the development of category strategy
  • Good experience of tendering, including knowledge and use of frameworks and eTendering systems
  • Excellent administration skills, as the role will include the maintenance of contract databases and project trackers in conjunction with Category Managers
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders; building on the ethos of developing a truly collaborative procurement service

Experience working within the Public Sector (especially a university) would be highly beneficial.

This role will be based in Central London with some occasional travel to sites within London. They are looking to pay up to £42k plus package.
