Warehouse Manager

Warehouse & Despatch Manager required to join a manufacturing company in South London /Croydon. Permanent, site based, role paying circa £45-£55k with benefits

The Warehouse Manager joins a growing manufacturing organisation and is responsible for the management of Warehousing, Despatch, Delivery, Stock and Inventory.

Ultimately you will lead the Warehouse and team to greater levels of efficiency and effectiveness. Responsible for ensuring the maximisation of warehouse space and stock turns across raw materials and finished goods you will meet or exceed despatch targets leading to higher levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Warehouse and staff across, despatch, pick and pack etc
  • Ensure ERP ( Microsoft AX ) stock data is accurate and up to date
  • Minimise damage and lost stock in storage and in transit
  • Management of the Fork Lift Trucks and Warehouse assets, including maintenance and inspection
  • Cost control of the warehouse budget
  • Site lead for all H&S
  • Ensure all picking, packing and order fulfilment satisfies customer orders
  • Leadership of all weekly, monthly, annual etc stock takes for company budgets and forecasts
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, manufacturing to minimise issues with pallets, labelling, stock locations etc
  • Minimise waste
  • Proactively issues with Supply Chain, Customer Services and commercial colleagues

 

Who we are looking for:

  • Suitable applicants will possess strong Warehouse experience gained within a high volume manufacturers
  • You will have managed Despatch and Warehousing to UK, European and global locations
  • Experience of managing despatch via Containers and Vehicles
  • Demonstrable history of leading teams of staff to higher levels of success
  • Excellent understanding of H&S legislation and the ability to constantly improve site safety
  • Ideally educated to degree level
  • Existing usage of Microsoft AX is advantageous
  • Industry specific qualifications such as CILT / MILT / APICs is beneficial
