Contract Manager

Oxfordshire – 2 days per week in office

My client are currently looking to recruit into a newly created Contract Manager post which will be responsible for a number of key high risk / value / complexity contracts. The successful candidate will develop strategic contract management policies and procedures which will drive efficiencies, value for money and savings.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following experience:-

  • A background in contract management, gained within the social care arena (adults / childrens / public heath). This can be either from a client or supplier perspective.
  • A strategic and commercial outlook with the ability to challenge the ethos and continually seek service improvements. This experience could be gained from either a procurement, commissioning or contract management or supplier angle.
  • The ability to build strong stakeholder and supplier relationships

Procurement Associate

My client, a global private equity investment firm, is looking for an Associate, Procurement. The Associate Procurement will be based out of the London office.

The Associate, Procurement will be responsible for leading all major sourcing projects, they will also provide guidance & partner with the broader firm on all procurement matters.

They will educate the Firm on the benefits of procurement to raise the profile of procurement, assisting stakeholders across both pre and post-contracts.

They will work collaboratively with the department leaders to obtain the best possible outcomes. Negotiating commercial terms, reviewing contracts and onboarding new suppliers. They will design and draft RFI & RFP documentation with the wider Firm.

Senior Contracts Manager - EPC/ Construction

Reporting to the Capex Director, this is an excellent opportunity to develop, shape, implement and monitor projects for a portfolio of Capital Projects. The Senior Contracts Manager will be responsible for negotiating contracts and lead on procurement activities.

The senior Contract manager will have the ability to develop relationships. They will have experience in driving change and implementing new commercial strategies. They will have recent experience working with 3rd party EPCM contractors ensuring contractual agreements are suitable whilst putting performance measures in place to track delivery.

 

The key elements of the role:

  • Optimisation and implementation of the project contracting strategy ensuring all capital projects are defined
  •  Leading, and  supporting contract negotiations
  • Supplier management, focusing on performance management of EPC consultants and executing procurement to contract close out.
  • Coaching / Training of internal staff & external suppliers in SRM and Contract Management best practice

Ideal Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience in procurement, especially capital project procurement, supply chain or similar experience is required

Engineering Project Manager

A Project Manager is urgently sought for a manufacturing/engineering company. 

Due to a variety of exciting New Product Launches and Developments, this role is being hired to give the engineering team a professional Project Management focus.  You will have a proven track record of Project Management with Software and Hardware Engineers

What you’ll be doing?

  • Manage engineering projects to deliver the agreed product roadmap for hardware products
  • Train and develop teams on Agile/Waterfall to ensure the correct methodology is used and testing is completed according to plan
  • Ensure necessary resources support agreed hardware and software projects
  • Develop project plans from design to testing and manufacturing
  • Manage the R&D programme to deliver new product launches and developments, ensure plans are in place for each part of the Product Development Road
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to map detailed product requirement and specifications
  • Put in governance to manage projects successfully
  • Develop Release notes and technical documents with Product Managers
  • Review and report on progress and deliver projects on time and within budget

 

Whom we are looking for

  • Successful applicants will have a proven record of project management within engineering and manufacturing organisations
  • Experience in delivering complex, manufactured, products to market is essential
  • Strong technical awareness of mechanical and electronic products and systems
  • Experience of working with inhouse software/hardware teams and onsite manufacturing
  • Knowledge and practical experience of using Waterfall and Agile methodologies to deliver technical products

What’s on offer?

My client is a Fortune 500 Global Retail organisation based in Hertfordshire.  I am assisting them with an Indirect Category Manager. They are looking for someone to develop and assist with the Indirect categories.

Reporting to the Category Manager the role involves:

  • Building relationships with key divisions and individuals to ascertain and understand stakeholder, business and customer requirements, strategy, challenges and opportunities. 
  • Developing and delivering a procurement plan that aligns with the wider sourcing plan and delivers savings/ROI and other value-added benefits

You should have the following knowledge & experience:

My client is currently recruiting for an interim Construction Category Manager level role to deliver the commercial strategy / implementation of a framework solution that will cover areas such as new build, repairs and maintenance, capital works etc.
