Senior Commercial Category Manager

£37803 - £41585 + salary supplements of £1K for CIPS Diploma and £3K for MCIPS qualification

Langley Search & Interim are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with the DVSA to recruit three new Senior Commercial Category Managers to work out of either of their Bristol, Nottingham or Swansea offices.

We have an exciting opportunity for three Senior Commercial Category Managers to join the DVSA's expanding category teams which oversees commercial categories such as Goods & Services, Fleet & Travel, Digital Services & Technology, Estates and Professional Services.

These opportunities have been created this year as part of the DVSA's continued transformation to a Category Management approach and the successful candidates will be responsible for delivery within at least one commercial category with a value of up to £100m.

Supported by the Head of Category Management, you can be based in either of the Bristol, Nottingham or Swansea offices and will be influential in creating positive working relationships across the whole of the DVSA.

Roles Responsibilities include:-

• Supporting the leadership team in the embedding of the DVSA commercial strategy and category management approach.
• Development, planning, delivery management and continuous improvement of at least one commercial category (Initially Goods & Services or Digital Service & Technology)
• Building close stakeholder relationships though providing commercial guidance and advice to the business in relation to a category management approach.

We are looking for commercial professionals with experience of procurement, contract management and perhaps some exposure to a category management environment. You will be working across the full procurement lifecycle including pre-competitive supplier engagement, supplier selection, tender evaluations, contract award and ongoing contract management.

You will also ideally bring excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of develop excellent working relationships, and ideally be experienced in public sector procurement (PCR2015 / OJEU).
