My Client a leading Financial Services Body is currently looking for an indirects Sourcing Specialist. An indirect Sourcing Specialist will report to the Procurement Lead helping internal stakeholders gain the best value from their Non-IT spend portfolio. This is an entry-level procurement role for a candidate looking to develop their procurement skills in a forward-thinking organisation.

You will work closely with the procurement lead to run tender processes, contract negotiations and ongoing vendor management.  You will get immediately involved in projects that are currently running and must be able to manage procurement projects to tight deadlines.

Skills required:

  • Experience in running simple procurement processes – including liaising with stakeholders, issuing tenders, evaluating and creating of contract documents from templates
  • Understanding of how end-to-end procurement processes work, including scoping business requirements, creating project plans
  • Building relationships with key divisions and individuals to ascertain and understand stakeholder, business and customer requirements, strategy, challenges and opportunities. 
  • Personable & consultative, able to build relationships with internal & external stakeholders of all levels.
  • Dealing with a broad range of internal functions such as legal, finance, risk, IT and specialist functions
