Category Manager - Indirects - up to £50k

Langley Search & Interim is working with a European Manufacturing client (private equity owned)  that is looking for a Category Manager – Indirects working out of the UK and in liaison with their manufacturing sites across the UK & in Europe. You will be part of a global team of professional procurement staff and report to the Head of Indirects Procurement who reports to the Global Procurement Director.

You will be based in the North West of the UK there is a flexible working scheme allowing some of the week to be home based.

Ideally you should have sound technical skills (CIPS or equivalent preferred), be of degree calibre with excellent communication and influencing skills.  You will have a good knowledge of and demonstrable experience in the areas of indirect procurement e.g  HR category, capex, telecoms, packaging, IT, FM category (hard & soft) and best practice in these areas. You will be used to building relationships and rapport with multiple stakeholders from multiple sites/divisions and working with them to deliver results – you will be proactive in taking the lead and developing cross-functional teams to support the procurement activity. 

You will be able to work effectively without supervision and some EMEA travel will be required e.g. to the Netherlands, France, Germany etc.

This is an exciting & interesting role which will enable you to travel and work with different cultures and geographies around Europe/UK.

My Client a niche procurement consultancy is currently looking for a specialist IT Category Manager. The IT Category Manager will report into the Director Onsite at one of their prominent clients. You will be helping their clients gain best value from their IT portfolio.  You will join the current team in delivering strategic and tactical IT procurement projects in IT categories.
