Senior Contracts Manager - EPC/ Construction

Reporting to the Capex Director, this is an excellent opportunity to develop, shape, implement and monitor projects for a portfolio of Capital Projects. The Senior Contracts Manager will be responsible for negotiating contracts and lead on procurement activities.

The senior Contract manager will have the ability to develop relationships. They will have experience in driving change and implementing new commercial strategies. They will have recent experience working with 3rd party EPCM contractors ensuring contractual agreements are suitable whilst putting performance measures in place to track delivery.

 

The key elements of the role:

  • Optimisation and implementation of the project contracting strategy ensuring all capital projects are defined
  •  Leading, and  supporting contract negotiations
  • Supplier management, focusing on performance management of EPC consultants and executing procurement to contract close out.
  • Coaching / Training of internal staff & external suppliers in SRM and Contract Management best practice
  • Deliver regular reporting on Procurement performance to the leadership and project teams

Ideal Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience in procurement, especially capital project procurement, supply chain or similar experience is required
  • Experience with EPCM contract strategy framing and management
  • Ability to successfully manage and demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Knowledge and high-level understanding of category, capital, and services projects
  • Excellent interpersonal/influencing skills, particularly in stakeholder engagement
