Warehouse Manager

Warehouse & Despatch Manager required to join a manufacturing company in South London /Croydon. Permanent, site based, role paying circa £45-£55k with benefits

The Warehouse Manager joins a growing manufacturing organisation and is responsible for the management of Warehousing, Despatch, Delivery, Stock and Inventory.

Ultimately you will lead the Warehouse and team to greater levels of efficiency and effectiveness. Responsible for ensuring the maximisation of warehouse space and stock turns across raw materials and finished goods you will meet or exceed despatch targets leading to higher levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Warehouse and staff across, despatch, pick and pack etc
  • Ensure ERP ( Microsoft AX ) stock data is accurate and up to date
  • Minimise damage and lost stock in storage and in transit
  • Management of the Fork Lift Trucks and Warehouse assets, including maintenance and inspection
  • Cost control of the warehouse budget
  • Site lead for all H&S
  • Ensure all picking, packing and order fulfilment satisfies customer orders
  • Leadership of all weekly, monthly, annual etc stock takes for company budgets and forecasts
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, manufacturing to minimise issues with pallets, labelling, stock locations etc
  • Minimise waste
  • Proactively issues with Supply Chain, Customer Services and commercial colleagues

 

Who we are looking for:

  • Suitable applicants will possess strong Warehouse experience gained within a high volume manufacturers
  • You will have managed Despatch and Warehousing to UK, European and global locations
  • Experience of managing despatch via Containers and Vehicles
  • Demonstrable history of leading teams of staff to higher levels of success
  • Excellent understanding of H&S legislation and the ability to constantly improve site safety
  • Ideally educated to degree level
  • Existing usage of Microsoft AX is advantageous
  • Industry specific qualifications such as CILT / MILT / APICs is beneficial
  • Able to work onsite full time
  • Applicants must be based in the UK and eligible to work and remain on a permanent basis

Manufacturing Director

A Manufacturing Director is sought for a technology manufacturing company located in West Suffolk. Salary up to £100K with benefits including car allowance, pension, bonus + more

The Director of Manufacturing oversees multiple global plants, which manufacture technically advanced products. Accountability for ensuring that health, safety, environmental, customer, quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met, you will also develop continuous improvement and technically advanced manufacturing principles

Ultimately you will maximise manufacturing output, increase company profitability and help to lead and develop the teams during a period of significant sales growth and business expansion

What you’ll be doing?

  • Responsible for leading group manufacturing you will ensure a high focus on Health, Safety and Wellness  by promoting a culture of safety first.
  • Ensure that all products are manufactured in a cost effective, quality, profitable and timely manner, in alignment with specifications and quality requirements.
  • Manage Production and Manufacturing departments, ensuring production output is consistently delivered.
  • Ensure environmental considerations, improvements and targets are at the heart of manufacturing operations. Lead and contribute to the ESG strategy and initiatives.
  • Implementation of new and advanced technology.
  • Responsible for the manufacturing budget, annual forecast, and CAPEX proposals.

  • Extensive multiple site manufacturing plant management success utilising Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and CI methodologies
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, able to define long-term strategic goals
  • Commercial and Financial acumen, proficiency in managing budgets, forecasting and metrics
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems experience
  • Willing to travel overseas once per quarter.

  • Spanish language is a plus.

  • Management of multi-disciplined Engineering teams, including performance management, career development, and resource planning.

This FTSE 100 is currently going through an incredibly exciting transformative period. The business is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join its Commercial team on a permanent basis. They operate a hybrid working model which is flexible and tailored to individual’s needs. 

The business is currently in a very sharp period of growth, and this is a critical position within the team with full responsibility for the procurement strategy, activity, and delivery across the Hard Facilities Management category. My client who are a leading Logistics/Shipping business and they are currently looking to attract the very best Director of Operations for this newly created role, which is due to continued expansion and recent acquisitions.

Job Description

You will have responsibility for all the operational processes across all the transport modes and contract logistics. You will be looking to increase both productivity and efficiencies across the operation whilst also looking to increase service quality.  
You will have responsibility for a large team therefore your leadership and communication skills need to come to the fore.

  • Overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of an operations team of around 120 employees.
  • Responsible for the up-skilling of the current team through an active attitude towards coaching, mentoring and development.
  • Develop and grow relationships with 3rd party suppliers (air, road and sea) in order to secure the most cost effective rates for our business..
  • Offer strategic business direction through the collection and analysis of business statistics.
  • Ensure that a quality service is provided to our customers in line with our SLA's.

  • Passion for leading teams and at least 5 years experience in a Supply Chain role, ideally in a business that uses technology and data. You know that delivering high-quality service depends on having a great team in place and skilful leadership and management of them.
  • A data-driven and analytical mindset. You know how to ask the right questions to get to actionable outcomes, how to design processes and use KPIs to measure their effectiveness.
