Procurement Analyst - Middlesex

Our client is a leading media business with over £9 million customers in the UK.

Job Purpose

This role reports into the area of procurement responsible for driving best practice in the sourcing processes.  Its primary objective is to plan and execute sourcing activities and provide high quality commercial support.  This will entail significant tracking of cost indices, supplier and product research and the ability to manage projects and data.

Our client currently uses Ariba as its e-sourcing tool.  Using e-tools the role will provide matrix support to the Supply Chain Procurement team.  This support will include:

• planning, creation and execution of sourcing exercises
• maintenance of commercial and operational data
• process management and systems development / maintenance
• contractual maintenance
• research into business intelligence (product, market and supplier)

Key Attributes

·         Graduate calibre with experience operating in a procurement environment, preferably in blue chip company

·         Meticulous in completing tasks to high standards and tight deadlines

·         Self-starter, committed to providing highest levels of service balancing multiple activities

·         Process driven

·         Advanced knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint programs

·         Good organisational, communication and presentation skills

·         Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team

·         A sound level of analytical skills and experience

·         Preferably some direct procurement experience

·         Involvement in requirement gathering and supplier management

·         Exposure to e-sourcing systems, including Ariba
