Job Details:
Head of Category Management (up to 80k) - Flexible location

Our client is an agency which was created to support and improve public safety and security by providing expertise in such areas as information technology, information sharing, and procurement.  Their Procurement Team supports c£3bn spend and is critical to the success of safety and security of the public in the UK.

Your role will be to set the strategic plan and timescales for the implementation of key central contracts via your team of c35 people.

* Excellent leadership and people management skills and have demonstrable category change management experience
* Robust post contracting supplier relationship management skills
*developed influencing and communication skills to enable the winning of 'hearts & minds' of multiple senior stakeholders
* Demonstrable experience of leading change programmes to timescale and to target
* The ability to lead the change in policy, process and ebusiness/eprocurement solutions which simplify and streamline procurement processes within the organisation and within the wider stakeholder community.
* Flexibility in approach & style to get the results you seek
* Best practice category experience and success delivered in other complex organisations
* The ability to author and present robust, commercial business cases that meet the organisation's needs
* A resilient and robust approach to removing roadblocks to success  - this role will be rewarding and a challenge!
