Process / Operations Manager - Bulk Despatch - Kent / SE London

Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturer with a opening for a Process Manager for the Bulk despatch operation in Kent / East London- Salary to £42k plus car allowance, bonus and benefits

The role will manage, develop and lead the warehouse operations team in the delivery of an operationally excellent warehouse in line with the company supply chain business requirement.  The holder will contribute to the development and implementation of the overall site strategy and deliver the bulk despatch strategy and area plan in line with supply chain strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage, develop and lead the team of FLM’s and motivate the team to ensure continuous improvement activity is in place to drive year on year improvements.
• Comply with company and legal standards (safety, hygiene, and environment) to ensure total compliance to all standard procedures and systems.
• Ensure the reporting and delivery of the KPIs to achieve the business plan (financial, quality, customer service) and operational targets - output versus plan.
• Ensure regular communications with both team and site trade union representatives to encourage a collaborative and positive working relationship.
• Generate requirement schedules from the sales forecast supplied and manage any ad-hoc purchasing activities that support the achievement of customer service KPIs.

REQUIREMENTS

Of degree calibre and preferably CILT accreditation, you will have relevant industry experience and a track record of people management and leadership skills.  Exceptional industry supply chain experience will be considered in lieu of qualifications.

You will need to have strong system skills and strong knowledge of Health and Safety  with an IOSH accreditation.  and a N.E.B.O.S.H. accreditation would be beneficial.
