The Langley 360™ was developed in-house utilising the deep industry knowledge of our ex-practitioners and complemented by the significant experience accrued by our long-standing consultants working in our niche areas of Procurement & Supply Chain recruitment.
The tool checks for both technical and behavioural competencies, using a process universally adhered to across Langley’s candidate screening process. As such, the assessment of candidates’ competencies is objective and fair; the 360 measures competence against a robust evidence base and results are evaluated against a set of standards. Using the scoring criteria we can quickly compare candidates and grade their overall levels of competency. The tool assesses a range of subjects, from basic understanding through to strategic leadership.
These standards are constantly evolving and Langley keeps appraised of the latest developments in the industry, utilising its extensive professional network and connections with CIPS/CILT to ensure the benchmarks we work to are both appropriate and challenging.
There are two main applications of the Langley 360™.
When we take a brief from a client, Langley is professional and thorough, drilling down on both the technical requirements and the expectations of behaviour within the role.
We check culture fit alongside the knowledge and skills required to fulfil the brief; we also look across the candidate’s experience and profile to ascertain the ‘value added’ that the candidate may bring to the role. With this comprehensive level of data, we can then cross-reference the candidate’s profile against the Langley 360™.
With consistent questions and scoring criteria, a qualitative comparison of candidates can then be made and the best CV’s submitted to a client.
